Czech Competition Authority Approves Karlovarské minerální vody’s Acquisition of PepsiCo’s Operations

KSB advised its long-standing client Karlovarské minerální vody (KMV) on acquiring PepsiCo’s assets and operations on the Czech, Slovak and Hungarian markets

KSB’s team, which was led by Dagmar Dubecká  and included Ján Béreš, Jana Guričová, Pavel Dejl, Martin Vráb and David Línek, helped KMV ensure a smooth acquisition process, coordinated local legal counsels in Slovakia and Hungary and represented KMV in the proceedings before  the Czech Competition Authority.

The transaction was approved by the Competition Authority on 30 October and closed and settled on 31 October. As a result of the acquisition, KMV has become the largest distributor of non-alcoholic beverages in Central Europe.
