This year’s Charity Good Will Concert08/11/10 / News

Law firm Kocián Šolc Balaštík is again organizing its traditional Charity Concert for the Good Will Committee of the Olga Havel Foundation. The now sixteenth annual concert will be held on 21 November 2010 from 7 p.m. in the Church of St. Simon and St. Jude, Old Town Prague.

The performers at this year’s Charity Concert will be the prominent Czech pianist Ivan Moravec, considered to be one of the greatest pianists of the twentieth century, the violist Roman Patočka and the mixed choir Carmina Bohemica.

All funds raised in connection with this year’s Charity Concert will be used to support the Good Will Committee’s Senior program, whose main objective is the preservation of dignity for, and provision of necessary care to, senior citizens. The issue of assistance to senior citizens remains an important indicator of the moral and ethical maturity of every society. Unfortunately assistance in this area is often neglected or ignored.

KSB has been organizing Charity Concerts for the Good Will Committee of the Olga Havel Foundation since 1995 based on the significant support of its clients, friends, colleagues and business partners. Helena Navrátilová, head of KSB’s tax team, talks about the founding and history of KSB’s Charity Concerts and on the need to provide assistance in the current issue of the magazine Dobré zprávy (downloaded here – in Czech only).
