We are one of the few Czech law firms who have been on the market for over 30 years and are still independent. With a team of almost seventy legal and tax specialists operating in Prague, Karlovy Vary and Ostrava, we are one of the largest law firms in the Czech Republic.

Thanks to the ratings of clients and our competitors, we are a highly respected and acknowledged law firm, as evidenced by a number of prestigious awards, especially the four-time Chambers Europe Award for Excellence for the best law firm in the Czech Republic, often we have been the only purely Czech law firm among the nominees.

Our priority is to provide added value to clients. Therefore, we know the specifics of their business and adapt the proposed solutions to the client’s context, with great emphasis on professional ethics and building long-term relationships based on mutual trust and respect.

Thanks to this, in many cases we pave the way for new transactions and pioneering or innovative solutions. We were at the forefront, for example, in:

  • the first major acquisition in post-revolutionary Czechoslovakia (1991) in the case of the purchase of the national flat glass producer by the Belgian company Glaverbel;
  • the first spin-off after the introduction of this institute into the Commercial Code in the case of Česká pojišťovna;
  • the first squeeze-out in the Czech Republic for Českomoravský cement;
  • the establishment of a so-called European company (Societas Europaea) under the European Companies Act and the implementation of cross-border mergers under the Transformations Act;
  • a uniquely extensive review of public support provided to small and medium-sized banks in connection with the Czech Republic's accession to the EU for the Czech National Bank;
  • the unique setting of the practical procedure of the statutory city of Pilsen according to the results of the local referendum;
  • a globally unique division of O2 Czech Republic listed on the public market, in which the existence of a telecommunications operator was maintained and a new company owning the infrastructure was created;
  • the largest local financial assistance of CZK 32 billion for CETIN / PPF;
  • the first issue of hybrid capital (the so-called perpetual certificate) for J&T Bank;
  • the first crowdfunding platform for start-ups – Fundlift;
