Kocián Šolc Balaštík has expanded its legal team by three new advocates: Mgr. Miloslav Petrů, LL.M., Ing. Mgr. Ivo Šimeček, M.E.S. and Mgr. Jan Hrubec. With nearly seventy lawyers and tax advisors in offices in Prague, Karlovy Vary and Ostrava, KSB is ranked one of the largest law firms in the Czech Republic.

Miloslav Petrů graduated from the Law School of Masaryk University in Brno and Columbia Law School in New York. He specializes in litigation, arbitration, administrative proceedings, including administrative litigation, acquis communautaire and international law. He has been with KSB since 2006 and is now an advocate. Before joining KSB, he worked for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in positions that included, among others, legal counsel to the Permanent Mission of the Czech Republic to the UN in New York. He speaks Czech and English.

Ivo Šimeček graduated from the School of Economics and Administration and the Law School of Masaryk University in Brno and completed graduate studies at Europa-Kolleg Hamburg – University of Hamburg, majoring in European studies. He provides legal advice in public procurement and state aid, competition, EU law and administrative proceedings. He joined KSB as a junior lawyer in 2005 before passing his bar exams in 2009. Prior to KSB, he worked for the Office for Protection of Competition in the department of public contracts. He speaks Czech, English and German.

Jan Hrubec graduated from the Law School of Masaryk University in Brno and completed a one-year internship at Malvern House College London where he studied commercial law. He specializes in real estate and construction law, corporate law (including corporate groups), labour law and contract law. He joined KSB as a junior lawyer in 2005 and became an advocate in 2009. He speaks Czech, English and German.
