Advising J&T ARCH INVESTMENTS on Acquisition of Shares in Moneta Money Bank
A team led by Jan Lasák advised J&T ARCH INVESTMENTS on the acquisition of a stake in leading Czech bank Moneta Money Bank. The fund already purchased 8.89% from Petrus Advisers in July. The second stage of the transaction and the acquisition of another 1.1% stake was completed on December 23. The fund has received approval from the Czech National Bank to acquire up to 19.99%.

While Martin Krejčí and Josef Kříž assisted with negotiating and drafting the transaction documentation, Vlastimil Pihera with the assistance of Matúš Kovačič were in charge of representing the fund in the proceedings before the Czech National Bank.
The J&T ARCH INVESTMENTS fund is the J&T Group’s main investment platform. It invests in companies, projects and partnerships that the J&T Group has built over the last twenty-five years and manages not only the assets of the Group's founders, but also those of private and institutional investors. The volume of assets amounts to almost CZK 29 billion.

KŠB has been providing long-term legal advice to J&T Bank in connection with debt financing for Czech entrepreneurs. One of the most recent transactions involved granting a loan to the Alchymist Grand Hotel and Spa, one of Prague’s most renowned boutique hotels, owned by Giorgio Bonelli, a prominent figure in the Italian business community in the Czech Republic.
