KŠB Advises STARLUX Airlines on its Entry into the Czech Market
KŠB provided assistance to Taiwan-based airline STARLUX Airlines in connection with its planned entry into the Czech market and launch of regular flights between Prague and Taipei.

Since launching its operations in 2020, STARLUX Airlines has been steadily expanding its network of long-haul and regional routes across East Asia and North America. Prague will become the airline’s first European destination, with regular flights commencing on 1 August 2026. The route will initially be operated three times per week, with plans to increase the frequency to four weekly flights starting in October. The service will be operated using a modern Airbus A350-900 aircraft offering four travel classes.
KŠB assisted with corporate and tax structuring and registrations, aviation regulatory matters, employment advice, consumer rights and GDPR compliance matters. The team was lead by Jiří Horník and consisted of Jan Černohouz, Ota Mach, Kateřina Štěpánková and Yelizaveta Volodina.
“We are pleased to have assisted such a prestigious client with its expansion into Europe and, in particular, the Czech market. The direct connection between Prague and Taipei represents an important milestone, opening up new opportunities for tourism, trade and transport connections between the Czech Republic and Taiwan” said KŠB partner Jiří Horník.
STARLUX Airlines is a well-established player in the premium aviation segment, and its expansion into Europe further underlines its long-term growth strategy in the long-haul flight sector.
