KŠB at the Joint Forum of Judges and Lawyers
On 12 February 2026, the second annual joint meeting of representatives from the judiciary and the legal profession took place in Brno under the auspices of the Czech Bar Association and the Supreme Administrative Court. Our law firm was represented at this important forum byi Petra Mirovská and Jakub Mehl.

The aim of the meeting was to share practical experience between lawyers and judges of the Constitutional Court, the Supreme Administrative Court, the Supreme Court, and higher courts. Participants engaged in discussions on the importance of adhering to rules in the application of law. Our attorney and counsel Petra Mirovská contributed to the debate with a presentation titled “Public Interest and Standing after the Aarhus Convention: Between Participation and Abusive Litigation.”
The programme of the forum was divided into four thematic blocks:
- Predictability in the application of law
- The right of the injured party to an effective investigation or to the punishment of the offender?
- Remedying miscarriages of justice, or does more instances also mean more justice?
- Who, why and how can seek justice?
Each panel, moderated by Constitutional Court judges Josef Baxa and Veronika Křesťanová and attorneys David Uhlíř and Adam Rakovský, provided space for a very open, constructive and thought-provoking discussion between representatives of both professions.
We look forward to the next edition of this meeting, which strengthens mutual understanding between judges and lawyers and contributes to the development of legal practice in the Czech Republic.
