KŠB and Smetanova Litomyšl – a partnership with impact

This year’s edition of the festival is taking place in the newly built “SmetaNOVÝ sál,” a modern concert hall designed by architect Josef Pleskot and set within the historic courtyard of the Litomyšl Castle. During its inaugural “Grand Rehearsal,” held in front of more than 1,300 prominent donors and festival partners, words of thanks were extended to KŠB for providing legal support throughout the entire SmetaNOVÝ sál project and for serving as the festival’s legal advisor.
But our contribution goes beyond legal matters. KŠB is also actively involved in the festival’s charitable mission — namely this year’s final concert, “Grand Finale – American Story,” which will take place on 6 July. The proceeds will support the Olga Havel Foundation’s Education Fund, which we have been helping to raise funds for over 30 years through our annual Goodwill Advent Concerts. The Grand Finale will help finance scholarships for young people from disadvantaged backgrounds.
The concert will be broadcast on Czech Television’s ART channel, where viewers will also have the opportunity to contribute via donation SMS or other means.
We believe that — just like in law — music thrives on a thoughtful balance between tradition and innovation. That’s why our partnership with Smetanova Litomyšl is so meaningful to us. We are grateful for the trust placed in us and look forward to many more shared experiences.
