Client Workshop – Personal Data Protection

Kocián Šolc Balaštík (KSB) held a workshop on 24 June 2008 to provide its clients with a summary of personal data protection issues. The lecturers were KSB personal data protection specialists, Martin Kubík, Petra Mirovská and Drahomír Tomašuk.

The syllabus of the workshop focused on protection issues such as processing notices, consents to processing of personal data, including birth registration numbers and sensitive information, the reporting duty regarding customers and clients, supervision over the processing by the Office for the Protection of Personal Data and compliance with mandatory duties through general commercial terms and conditions. The lively discussion that followed included practical information and knowledge from practice in the area of protection of personal information.

The workshop shall be followed by another one in fall this year with a focus on transfer of personal data abroad, monitoring of employee e-mails, video surveillance, recording telephone calls and using e-mail addresses.

The purchaser of the 110,000 sqm of commercial land was EQT Exeter.
