Aviation, Aerospace and Defence

The aviation industry is growing remarkably, outperforming pre-covid figures and greatly helping international trade. Our clients include airlines, aircraft and engine lessors, banks, aircraft and aerospace manufacturers, airports and, not least, regulators. We have also built a strong reputation in this area thanks to KSB partner Jiri Hornik, who is a graduate of the prestigious Institute of Aviation and Space Law at McGill University.

No longer just the domain of countries, the space industry and its entry into the private sector – thanks to privatisation – has brought about many new opportunities. We use our experience in aerospace and other fields to provide services which help implement large-scale space projects, both to multinational companies and organizations and to local industries that have built a reputation in the space industry. We are also involved in several regulatory projects aimed at getting the rules right.

With the war in Ukraine, the importance of the defence industry has increased significantly and we are honoured to be involved in many projects that are strengthening the defence of the Czech Republic, Ukraine and its partners. We have experience in negotiating contracts for the supply of military aircraft, drones and other technologies for military use, including advising on their export or import and assessing dual-use products. We also have experience in the small arms and ammunition manufacturing sector.
