Dagmar Dubecká on the prestigious list of IFLR Women Leaders for the second time

The British rating agency IFLR1000, which compiles annual international comparative rankings of law firms, has included KSB partner Dagmar Dubecká in its Women Leaders list, as it did last year.

IFLR1000 Women Leaders is an elite ranking category reserved for the most prominent female lawyers from around the world. These are women lawyers with outstanding reputations in their jurisdictions, who have expertise and experience working on complex transactions and are in leadership positions in their firms or practices.

Dagmar is regularly recognized not only within the Czech Republic (annual ranking in the Women Lawyers list published by the magazine Právní rádce, ranking among the leading representatives of Czech and Slovak law in the Top 100 Women in Czech-Slovak Legal Business), but in addition to IFLR1000 also by other international rating agencies such as Chambers & Partners, Legal500 or Who's Who Legal for her work related to M&A and corporate law.

Suburbanization Trends and Sustainable Commuting: Will the Construction Act Amendment Change the Landscape?

The discussion surrounding the current proposal to amend the Construction Act (Parliamentary Print 67) has moved to the committee stage in the Chamber of Deputies following its first reading. The primary declared objective is the acceleration of construction, particularly regarding residential buildings. The shortage of affordable housing remains a pressing issue in major cities, both in the Czech Republic and abroad, giving rise to the pervasive trend of suburbanization. This raises the question: does the proposed amendment truly have the ambition to reverse this trend, and will an increase in housing construction alone suffice?
