Legal advice on RegioJet financing
KŠB team led by Josef Kříž acted as legal advisor to Česká spořitelna and Komerční banka in connection with the issuance of RegioJet Group secured bonds, which will be admitted to trading on the Prague Stock Exchange. The expected volume is CZK 1.5 billion, but may increase to a total of CZK 4 billion. Assistance with this transaction is another successful step in strengthening our Capital Markets department led by Vlastimil Pihera.
The proceeds from the issue will be used to purchase new passenger cars, mainly from Deutsche Bahn. The transaction is in line with RegioJet's long-term strategy of growth and competitiveness, particularly in view of upcoming transport tenders. RegioJet currently provides a significant portion of passenger rail transport in the Czech Republic, where it ranks second in the market after the national carrier, and has recently expanded its operations to Poland, where it offers lines between Krakow and Warsaw.
