KŠB has advised on the execution of a construction contract for the Ball Sports Centre in České Budějovice, a major public infrastructure project set to become a new landmark for sport and community life in the region.

Václav Rovenský and Tomáš Trávníček represented the architects, the internationally renowned studio Wilkinson Eyre, in the contractual process. The project is the outcome of an international architectural competition and is being developed in cooperation with Czech Studio Boele.

The new centre will feature a state-of-the-art multifunctional arena with a capacity of approximately 5,000 spectators. Designed to host top-level ball sports—including volleyball, handball, basketball, floorball and futsal—the venue will also accommodate cultural events, conferences and other public gatherings.

The estimated construction cost of the arena is approximately CZK 1.2 billion, with additional investment planned for related infrastructure such as public spaces and parking facilities. Construction is expected to commence next year, with completion scheduled for 2028.

KŠB is pleased to have supported a project of such scale and public significance, further reinforcing our long-standing involvement in complex construction and infrastructure developments across the Czech Republic.
