KSB nominated for Chambers Europe Awards for Excellence 2011

Kocián Šolc Balaštík is one of five Czech law firms nominated for this year’s Chambers Europe Awards for Excellence in the category of National Firms. KSB won the award in 2008 and was shortlisted as one of the best law firms in 2009 and 2010.

The Chambers Europe Awards for Excellence are awarded by Chambers and Partners, a reputable British rating company that has rated legal firms and services worldwide since 1990. The Europe Awards started to include Czech jurisdiction in 2008 and KSB was the first law firm ever to receive the National Firm Award in the Czech Republic.

This year’s edition of the Smetanova Litomyšl festival concluded with the concert Grand Finale – An American Story, held under the patronage of our firm. In addition to delivering a remarkable musical experience, the evening also served a charitable purpose: proceeds supported the Olga Havel Foundation (Výbor dobré vůle – Nadace Olgy Havlové), helping young people from disadvantaged backgrounds pursue their education.

Advising J&T on the preparation of another bond programme – the Europacity Berlin project.

KŠB provided legal advice to its long-standing client, the J&T group, in connection with the preparation of another bond programme, this time related to the Europacity Berlin project. The base prospectus has already been approved by the Czech National Bank, and the first final terms have been prepared for an issue in the amount of CZK 3 billion.
