KSB assists Saudi Basic Industries Corporation (acquisition of GE Plastics)

Kocián Šolc Balaštík advised <a href="http://www.sabic.com/" title="Saudi Basic Industries Corporation" >Saudi Basic Industries Corporation (SABIC) on the Czech involvement in the world-wide acquisition of the plastics division from General Electric. The acquisition was completed on 31&nbsp;August 2007. The deal is worth more than 11 billion USD.

The new plastics division – to be known as SABIC Innovative Plastics – will makea significant contribution to SABIC's existing plastic products portfolio andprovide access to new markets. SABIC's aim is to continue development ofthermoplastics and engineering plastics for the automobile, electronic andbuilding industries, as well as the health sector.

Advising J&T on the preparation of another bond programme – the Europacity Berlin project.

KŠB provided legal advice to its long-standing client, the J&T group, in connection with the preparation of another bond programme, this time related to the Europacity Berlin project. The base prospectus has already been approved by the Czech National Bank, and the first final terms have been prepared for an issue in the amount of CZK 3 billion. The advisory team at KŠB included Josef Kříž, under the partner supervision of Martin Krejčí. Vlastimil Pihera.
