KSB Assists OKD, a.s. in Spin-Off of Energy-Related Assets

Kocián Šolc Balaštík advised OKD, a.s. in connection with the spin-off of OKD’s CZK 2.8 billion worth of energy-related assets to its sister company NWR Energy, a.s.

KSB’s involvement in the transaction included the simultaneous negotiation of long-term energy and service supply agreements as well as agreements on further cooperation between both companies.

The spin-off is the result of OKD’s long-term plan of concentrating on its core business – coal mining. OKD is the largest black coal miner in the Czech Republic.

This year’s edition of the Smetanova Litomyšl festival concluded with the concert Grand Finale – An American Story, held under the patronage of our firm. Advising J&T on the preparation of another bond programme – the Europacity Berlin project.

KŠB provided legal advice to its long-standing client, the J&T group, in connection with the preparation of another bond programme, this time related to the Europacity Berlin project. The base prospectus has already been approved by the Czech National Bank, and the first final terms have been prepared for an issue in the amount of CZK 3 billion.
