Kocián Šolc Balaštík continues to lead – awarded Czech Republic’s Law Firm of the Year for the fourth time

KSB is not a newcomer standing on an imaginary podium – the law firm has already won the award for the prior years of 2006, 2007 and 2008. The London-based independent rating institution Who’s Who Legal, which gave out the award, is a recognized source of information of the international legal market, an official research partner of the International Bar Association and a strategic partner of the international law section of the American Bar Association. The results of the award are officially published in the latest issue of The International Who’s Who of Business Lawyers.
Who’s Who Legal editor in chief Callum Campbell said about Kocián Šolc Balaštík’s receiving the award: “Kocián Šolc Balaštík’s continuing success is reflected in the consistently positive feedback we received that recognises the firm’s exceptional individual and collective talent. KSB is a true leader in its jurisdiction and receiving the Who’s Who Legal Law Firm of the Year Award for Czech Republic for a fourth time is an outstanding achievement. We have no hesitation in declaring Kocián Šolc Balaštík the leading firm in the country.”
According to Pavel Dejl, a partner of Kocián Šolc Balaštík, KSB’s results – crowned by the fourth award – are defined by great teamwork from all members of the firm, not only the lawyers and tax advisors who are responsible for the client work, but all professional back-office staff who deserve big thanks from the firm’s partners.
The Who’s Who Legal Awards are based on nominations received from clients and private practice professionals during a six-month period of independent research in over fifty countries. Factors taken into consideration in the appraisal include, for example, the number of attorneys from the relevant law firm mentioned by the aforementioned publication, the number of the firm’s legal practice areas listed by the publication, the results achieved in previous appraisals and the sum of weighted votes achieved by attorneys from the law firm in question compared with the sum achieved by attorneys from other law firms in the country in question. More information on the appraisal method and results in all appraised categories are available at www.whoswholegal.com.
For 2009, The International Who’s Who of Business Lawyers featured three Kocián Šolc Balaštík partners: Jiří Balaštík (banking), Pavel Dejl (competition) and Martin Šolc (mergers & acquisitions), which is the highest number of representatives from a single firm of all appraised law offices in the Czech Republic.
