KSB Partner Tomas Sequens is one of the Faces of Sustainability

In cooperation with the Euro magazine, the Sustainability Project has been presenting Faces of Sustainability - the only Czech overview of sustainability experts since 2022. The 150 experts include representatives of the largest companies, government and non-profit sectors. KSB partner Tomáš Sequens is one of them.

The aim of the overview is to continuously map the personalities who are among the recognized faces in the field of sustainability in the Czech Republic, both across business and the non-profit sector. The overview can thus serve as a recommendation of who is worth following and what activities can inspire. The overview can be found in a special supplement of the magazine EURO - TOP SUSTAINABLE BUSINESS.

As part of the the Sustainability Project, Tomas Sequens recently appeared in a live-streamed interview Trends in Sustainability: the ground rules for a green energy future. A recording of the interview can be found here.

Suburbanization Trends and Sustainable Commuting: Will the Construction Act Amendment Change the Landscape?

The discussion surrounding the current proposal to amend the Construction Act (Parliamentary Print 67) has moved to the committee stage in the Chamber of Deputies following its first reading. The primary declared objective is the acceleration of construction, particularly regarding residential buildings. The shortage of affordable housing remains a pressing issue in major cities, both in the Czech Republic and abroad, giving rise to the pervasive trend of suburbanization. This raises the question: does the proposed amendment truly have the ambition to reverse this trend, and will an increase in housing construction alone suffice?
