24th Annual Charity Concert of Good Will – Olga Havel Foundation

This year’s Charity Concert of Good Will, which Kocián Šolc Balaštík has organised since 1995 to help support the Goodwill Committee - Olga Havel Foundation, will take place on Sunday, 18 November 2018 at 19:00. Once again, the concert will be held at the Church of St. Simon and St. Jude in Prague’s Old Town.

In addition to providing a welcome opportunity to get together and enjoy an evening full of beautiful music, the concert offers a great chance to show solidarity and help support those who need it most. Over the past twenty-three years, the Charity Concerts have raised more than 23 million Czech crowns.

The Olga Havel Foundation will use this year’s concert proceeds to support a project of your choosing, which can be selected from the list available here and which includes the Foundation’s long-standing Senior Project. Together with selected non-governmental not-for-profit organisations, the Olga Havel Foundation guarantees that the proceeds will be used to provide or improve care for those who are often left with no choice but to rely on charitable help.

The 24th annual concert will be unique thanks to a piano performance by Tomáš Kačo, who recently graduated from the Berklee College of Music in Boston and who, in addition to performing a solo interpretation, will play his own composition – a piano concert for PKF – the Prague Philharmonia. The first half of the concert will showcase Benjamin Britten’s Simple Symphony and Bohuslav Martinů’s Rhapsody-Concerto for Viola and Orchestra H. 337.

Admission to the concert is CZK 100, which covers all costs. In addition, there is a donation fee of CZK 1,500 that will be given as a gift to the Olga Havel Foundation (the gift is tax deductible based on the receipt issued by the Olga Havel Foundation).

To order your tickets or, if you wish to become a sponsor or make a donation, please kindly contact Jana Šafářová via e-mail  jsafarova@ksb.cz or by phone at 224 103 341 or 224 103 316.
