Chambers Europe Awards Kocián Šolc Balaštík (KŠB) was named Law Firm of the Year in the Czech Republic for a second time in the Chambers Europe Awards for Excellence in Amsterdam yesterday.

“We are honoured to receive this award and accept it as humbly as we endeavour to provide top-quality legal services to our clients” says Dagmar Dubecká, KŠB’s Managing Partner, who accepted the award together with Pavel Dejl, also a KŠB Partner, at a ceremony at Hotel Okura in Amsterdam on 10 May 2012. “Our thanks primarily go to our clients, but I would also like to thank all our staff because advocacy is truly a team effort and we could not have been successful today without a strong and cohesive team,” added Pavel Dejl.

The 2012 award is not the first time KŠB has won the Chambers Europe Awards for Excellence. In 2008, the first year of the awards, KŠB attained the glass plaque for the first time. KŠB has also repeatedly been nominated as one of the top five national Czech law firms ever since.

The Chambers Europe Awards for Excellence are presented by London-based publisher Chambers & Partners, which specializes in conducting legal ratings worldwide. Chambers & Partners’ annual ratings map top-quality law firms in Europe, the US, Latin America, and the Asia-Pacific. Law firms are researched, assessed, and ranked on a regular basis by over 130 analysts.

The latest edition of Chambers Europe 2012 lists KŠB in several law categories, including Competition/Antitrust, Dispute Resolution/Arbitration, Corporate/M&A, Projects and Energy, Restructuring/Insolvency, Tax, TMT, and Real Estate. KŠB has been ranked repeatedly as one of the top law firms both by Chambers Europe and Chambers Global, as well as by other rating agencies. Both the law firm and its individual lawyers are often recognized for the quality of their services.
