At present, an amendment to the Accounting Act is undergoing its first reading in the Chamber of Deputies (Parliamentary Press No. 558).

In addition to legislative and technical adjustments, the amendment contains inter alia a legislative specification of the scope of duties of selected accounting units, a change to the provisions for assets and liabilities stocktaking, and supplementation of the simplified conditions for bookkeeping for partially budget-funded organizations. Temporary provisions propose that, save for minor exceptions, the wording of the amended Accounting Act would apply to the accounting period commenced in 2012.
