KSB announced as Leading Law Firm in Corporate Law14/11/08 / News
Law firm Kocián Šolc Balaštík has been awarded the title of the Czech Republic’s leading law firm in the field of corporate law in the first year of the survey Leading Law Firm of the Year 2008.
This survey is organized by EPRAVO.CZ under the professional auspices of the Czech Bar Association. Its objective is to compile an objective ranking of leading law firms operating on the Czech legal services market on the basis of an independent survey of law firms. More than forty law firms were involved in the first year of the survey. One of the conditions of voting was that individual law firms could not nominate themselves.
KSB not only won the title of leading law firm in corporate law, but was also nominated among the first five law firms in the category of mergers & acquisitions as well as in the category of public procurement.
KSB partner Dagmar Dubecká, whose principal specializations include corporate law and mergers & acquisitions, said when receiving the award on behalf of KSB: “We appreciate this award very much since the assessment method reflects how our firm is perceived by other law firms. We are pleased that competitors consider us as experts in this field.”
KSB partner Jan Dědič, a recognized expert in the field of corporate law, added: “We consider this recognition in the field of corporate law as appreciation of our long-term involvement in this legal discipline, since members of our law firm have been active, inter alia, in the development of corporate legislation and legislative drafting.”
The results of the survey Leading Law Firm of the Year 2008 were announced on 10 November 2008 at a gala evening at the Marriott Hotel in Prague which was attended by representatives of judicial bodies, professional organizations and prominent figures of the Czech legal scene.
In 2008 KSB has been awarded the title of leading law firm repeatedly, including when it won the Czech Republic’s Law Firm of the Year Award for the third time in row, based on the assessment of independent rating institution Who’s Who Legal, and received the title of National Law Firm of the Year, Czech Republic in the first year of Chambers Europe Awards for Excellence.
