KŠB Named Law Firm of the Year for a Fourth Time

Kocián Šolc Balaštík (KŠB) was named Law Firm of the Year in the Czech Republic for a fourth time by renowned British legal rating agency Chambers & Partners in London last Friday.

The Chambers Europe Awards have recently become even more esteemed as both Czech and international law firms operating on the Czech market have been rated together in one category since 2015. KŠB received the Law Firm of the Year award for the fourth time this year, having also won in 2008, 2012 and 2015. KŠB has also always been among the law firms shortlisted for the award.

“In the legal world, the Chambers Europe Awards are highly regarded and full of prestige, which makes having won the award this year mean even more. We would like to thank our clients, our fellow law firms which help keep the Czech legal services market at a high level as well as all of our colleagues, thanks to whom KSB remains a leading law firm after nearly three decades of being on the market”, said KŠB’s managing partner Dagmar Dubecká.

The Chambers Europe Awards are presented by London-based publisher Chambers & Partners, which specializes in conducting legal ratings worldwide. Chambers & Partners’ annual ratings map top-quality law firms in Europe, the US, Latin America, and the Asia-Pacific. Law firms are researched, assessed, and ranked on a regular basis by over 130 analysts.

In the Chambers Europe 2017 Yearbook, KŠB is appreciated for its work in M&A and corporate advisory, with an emphasis on tax issues. Chambers & Partners noted several of KSB’s prominent clients, including national and international banks and companies, such as Česká národní banka, O2 and Skanska, and the rating agency also appreciated the firm’s frequent advising on international transactions using its English and German law in-house expertise in real estate, energy and telecommunications.
