Kocián Šolc Balaštík (KŠB) has announced the appointment of four new counsels effective 1 January 2015. The promotion of three attorneys and one tax advisor, all of whom have worked for KŠB for several years, is an acknowledgement of the outstanding work they have done and continue to do for KŠB.

Each of the new counsels are leading experts in various fields of law and taxes, and appointing them to this higher position is the best reflection of our long-term successful cooperation, which everyone at the firm greatly appreciates,” said Dagmar Dubecká, KŠB’s managing partner.
In addition, KŠB partner Jiří Balaštík was named Partner Emeritus on 1 January 2015. In the future, he will focus primarily on activities in the area of marketing.
New counsel profiles:
Sylvie Sobolová has been working as an attorney since 2002. She is a member of the Czech Bar Association and is a specialist in public procurement and aid, intellectual property, EU law, competition law, unfair competition, litigation and arbitration, securities and capital markets. She graduated from the Law Faculty of Masaryk University in Brno and in 2004 she obtained a Ph.D. from the University of Economics. She speaks Czech, English, German, French and Spanish.
Christian Blatchford has been working as an attorney since 2003. He is a member of the Czech Bar Association and the Law Society of England and Wales and is a specialist in M&A and project financing, including PPP. He graduated with a degree in philosophy from the University of Manchester and completed postgraduate studies at the College of Law in Guildford in the fields of law and practical law. He speaks Czech and English.
Drahomír Tomašuk has worked as an attorney for KŠB for thirteen years. He is a member of the Czech Bar Association and is a specialist in telecommunications law, personal data protection, banking and administrative proceedings, including litigation concerning administrative decisions. He graduated from the Faculty of Law at West Bohemian University in Plzeň. He speaks Czech, English and German.
Jan Černohouz has been a tax advisor since 2008. He is a member of the Czech Chamber of Tax Advisors and is a specialist in corporate income tax, international taxation and tax planning, value added tax for businesses, nonprofits and public entities, and customs. As a member of KŠB’s tax team, he was named one of the leading Czech tax advisors by World Tax 2014. He graduated from the National Economy Faculty of the University of Economics in Prague. He speaks Czech and English.
