“It will surely not be easy to fill Martin’s shoes, but I believe that, together with my colleagues Petr Kasík and Pavel Dejl, who belong to KSB’s management committee, we will be successful. Not only am I deeply focused on continuing to provide top legal services and developing the client base, but I also wish to preserve the friendly atmosphere established in our firm thanks to Martin and others,” says Ms. Dubecká.

Martin Šolc, who has headed KSB since its establishment in 1990, wishes to focus, in addition to his activities in the field of mergers & acquisitions, on activities within the sphere of the International Bar Association (IBA), where he is currently a candidate for the position of IBA Secretary General. He will, however, continue to contribute to matters concerning KSB’s strategic direction.

“I have no doubt that KSB’s new management will achieve great success and that it will work together to ensure the firm continues to prosper. This belief is guaranteed by the professional, personal, as well as managerial qualities of Dagmar and the rest of KSB’s management team,” adds Martin Šolc, who, together with Jiří Balaštík, another KSB senior partner, helped initiate the plan to usher in a new generation to KSB’s management.

Another change that recently took place at KSB was the transformation of its legal form from an association of advocates to a private limited company. Since the beginning of 2012, the law firm has operated under the business name Kocián Šolc Balaštík, advokátní kancelář, s.r.o. The change is of an organizational and technical nature only, which shall not affect the operation of the firm or its relationships with clients or other business partners.
